Horse Back Riding

I love going horse back riding it's so fun. On Monday I went horse back riding with my friend Bailey. We were riding in the arena practicing for our horse show. She told me to canter on my horse, so I decided to. Bad idea, I cantered her then she came to a stop and she didn't no rather to buck or rear. So she kind of did both, I just jump off. It was kind of funny because my mom said I looked like a bull rider because I jumped off and ran to the fence. After that happened we just decided to play Simon Says. It was really fun, although  I lost a couple of times. Then before we went out of the arena she said do you want to canter again. I said no way. We also call my horse trying to fly for what my horse did.

Something That Really Bugs Me...

Something that really bugs me is the dress code. I mean I don't mind wearing fingertip shorts or no yoga pants. But I don't get how the teachers are aloud to if they are aloud to then we should be. It's not fair because the councilor said that were developing and we can't wear yoga pants, but the teachers are fully developed and they're aloud too. I think that if we have to follow the dress code teachers should too.  They also say that guys look at us more when they really look at the teachers more. I think that everyone should have to follow the dress code. Although some girls it's because they think it's ok because the teacher is wearing them. So the teachers and the students should follow the dress code, everyone should!

Free Post

I am going to tell you what I'm going to do this weekend. This weekend I'm going to spin time with my friend. On Saturday we have a subdivision sale I'm going to make lots of money, at least I hope so. I would like to sell a lot of the things I don't need, which is a lot. I can't wait to spin time with my friend maybe we can have a bonfire, and marsh marshmallows'. Hopefully we can hangout all weekend. Maybe at the garage sale we could sell lemonade. I'm going to have a lot of fun this weekend. I just can't wait any longer!

Kid Nation 7

In this episode of Kid Nation, I see deviance. This happens when Jared tipped over a girl's stuff just because she has a better store. Deviance is behavior that doesn't follow society's norms (expectations). Just because you're jealous or mad doesn't mean you have to be mean to that person. But Jared and that girl made up.

Another word is primary deviance. I see this when Greg is arguing with Nathan. He was arguing because Greg was saying how the dishes should be done and Nathan thought different. Then Nathan got really upset. Primary Deviance means occasional deviant behavior that is not part of the person's lifestyle and identity, it's not frequent and will stop.

Another word I see is social sanctions. I see this when Nathan won a gold star for working hard. He really does deserve it because he barely has fun and just works. Social Sanctions means rewards or punishments to encourage conformity to norms. I'm so glad he won a gold star.

Kid Nation 6

In this episode of Kid Nation, I see Conformity. I see it by when they all have to take the trash far away and bury it. Taylor and her friend won't help with the trash. The other kids though are doing conformity. Conformity is adjusting behavior to match group expectations.

Another word I see is cooperation. I see this by one of the boys stepping up and telling everyone that they need water, so he asked all the other kids who wanted to help. Most of the kids raised their hands which shows cooperation. Cooperation is interaction in which individuals or groups combine efforts to achieve a common goal.

They all wanted one of the prizes they had won. One was fruits and vegetables or dune buggies. The leaders had to groupthink, they all thought that the dune buggy would cause fights. So they decided to pick the fruits and vegetables. Groupthink means thinking based on following the group beliefs rather than your individual ideas; it's often based on pressure from the group.

Kid Nation 5

Kid Nation is different groups. A group is two or more people that are in regular contact share some ways of thinking/feeling/behaving, consider each other's behavior, and have some common interests and goals. In kid nation there's a yellow, green, blue, and red group. They all are voting for new leaders. The green group though is keeping the same leader. The rest of the groups more than likely are getting new leaders.

The green group is a primary group. A primary group is a close group the emotionally support each other and seek one another out. I see this because the green group didn't want a new leader they love the leader they have. Although many of them think they can run most of them think they can't run as good as the leader they have. She will stay the leader no matter what.

In the blue group I see a conflict. A conflict is interaction aimed at defeating an opponent (competition) and increase dysfunction and working against each other. I see this between Olivia and the blue group leader. She keeps saying how she will be a better leader and how she's not a follower she's a leader. The blue group leader is afraid that Olivia will become a leader.

The green leader stays a the green leader.  The blue groups leader is the same leader. The red group leader is Guylan.  The yellow groups leader is Zach. Everyone is so happy because Taylor is done being the leader.  I think that everyone is going to make a great leader.

Kid Nation 4

In this episode of Kid Nation, I see ascribed status when all the kids start to fight about there religions and beliefs. Ascribed status means an assigned status someone is given rather than choosing it. They're all fighting because they're not the same religion, it shouldn't matter what religion they are. They should all just get along because that doesn't matter.

Another vocab word I see is obligation, the leaders or someone just needs to get them all together and say that they just need to get along because you are who you are. Obligation means a duty of commitment someone needs to fulfill. Morgan finally did that she said that they're saying praying by the fire if anyone wants to come. She also said that no matter what religion she loves everyone. She really deserves a gold star.

The teams are social interacting because no matter what religion they are they're still are working together to win a prize. Social interaction is when any relationship between two or more individuals.  The blue team won they really worked together. Red came in second and yellow is third and green came in fourth. They all completed a game so they all get one big prize. The prizes is a mini golf place or holy books. The leaders are letting the town decide which one will it be. The town picked the holy books.
