Thoughts

I think that donating the money was a great idea. Because he said that he doesn't need a lot of money and he still kept some for himself just not as much as he donated.  He said "I'm called 'the poorest president', but I don't feel poor. Poor people are those who only work to try to keep an expensive lifestyle, & always want more." I agree because money doesn't buy happiness. He also probably helped a lot of people with the money he donated. Before he donated the money the people probably didn't have much food or medicine to take if they're ill. He did a great thing.

Easter Break

Over Easter break my friends and I were inseparable. They stayed at my house Wednesday till Saturday. We had lots of fun and most of the time we stayed up till 2 or 3 in the morning.  We also went to my Grandpa's farm and rode horses. It was my friend Hayley's first time, but for my friend Emily she had rode horses before.  It was really fun at my Grandpa's I showed them all the fun things we can do there.Friday we went to the movies. It was really fun because we got to watch a scary movie, but we started to get really scared.  We got to eat lots of popcorn and candy. We also got to have a little bonfire of our own. And we also got to cook hotdogs and make s'mores.

Kid Nation

In this episode of Kid Nation, I see self-concept when Greg says that he deserves the gold star. He also said that he worked the hardest. Instead Michael won the gold star. Self-Concept means the image you have of yourself as being unique and special think of you.  He gets really mad and says that he will get the gold star.

Everyone, but a few little kids were doing a play stage. A play stage is when children play pretend and act the way others think they would act. They were doing this by having a party and chugging soda. They were basically acting like it was alcohol. The other kids who were not at the party could not sleep because the other kids were being to loud. The next day a lot of people couldn't get up because they were so tired.

They all had to do socialization in order to win a prize. Socialization means learning how to participate in group life ( must be taught how to behave and interact with others). They did succeed and win the prize. The prizes were 40 boxes of pizza or a microwave with a big barrel of coca. The leaders decided to pick the microwave and the barrel of coca. The leaders said they needed way more then the pizza that wouldn't even last that long.

Kid Nation

In kid nation the leaders wanted to kill a chicken for food, but they had to take a vote with the society.  Society means a group of people living in the same area and sharing common culture, but there will be differences.  They all agreed to kill the chicken and cook it for dinner.  The oldest kid there killed it. They killed two chickens, and they had to dip them in water so its easier to pick the feathers off.  The oldest kid knew how to cook the chicken, so he helped out. After they cooked it they served it, they all loved it.

Taylor, one of the leaders, was setting off a moral. Moral is rules of behaviors that are related to right and wrong like murder is wrong and not cheating is right. She did this because she is on the yellow team and they are cooks but since its so cold there she didn't want to cook. All of the other yellow team mates were cooking, but she didn't want to she was setting a bad example.  Now its starting to get warm so hopefully everyone will do there job.

They all have to complete this game for a value. A value is broad ideas about what is considered valuable. The thing that is valuable is a waterslide if everyone completes the game they all get the big waterslide. The blue are in first place and they completed the game they won upper class. The red are in second place and they won merchants. The yellow are in third and they're the cooks. The green are in last place and are the labors. They all didn't complete the game in time so they didn't get the waterslide or non-freezable water pumps.

Drama

Drama is everywhere in our school, everywhere you go there is people gossiping and making lies.  People argue over stupid things like you like my boyfriend, so you're not my friend anymore.  It's so annoying because if it's not true it shouldn't be said.  Things should be kept to yourself because you can't really trust anyone. One minute people act like your best friend and tell you, you can tell them anything but that's a lie they're going to tell someone.  You think you can trust someone when you can't. They will either talk about you right in front of you or behind your back. Drama is just so annoying. Drama just needs to stop!

Kid Nation

There is 40 kids on this bus and they will be going to a place in the middle of no where for 40 days without parents or teachers. There's poor, rich, city, country, old, and young kids.  They also have 4 leaders which are kids too.  The kids have to take their stuff in wagons and walk/ carry their stuff miles and miles to get to the place they're staying at.  They got to the ranch and there's nothing there it's just empty. They have to fix up the houses to live in them and they also had to bring animals so they could survive.

Everyone is trying to cook and they put to much pasta in the pot and have to dump it all out. they have to work together and to basically some up what they have to do is sociology. Sociology is the study of human society, social structure, and human groups in the big picture. It does not focus on the individual.

Everyone is crying because they just miss home, miss their beds, and all the food they would eat. One of the girl leaders was verstehen. Verstehen means understanding the behavior of others by trying to put yourself in their place. Which a lot of the people want to go home, but they can't they're here to fix it up. One of the leaders found an old book about this town and it said that they failed the town, but whoever is reading it will not fail the town. They have to work together to make it a place they can live at.  they all have to go on separate teams. They have to play a game to see who gets what job. They have to collect water from pipes and the pipes are the color of there team. The first team who wins get the jobs that are listed. If all the teams collect water then all the kids will when a prize.  The two prizes was an out house and a T.V.

The blue team are capitalists because they are the merchants. They are the ones that sell the goods. Capitalists means the people that own this means to produce wealth(make money).  They have the store filled with candy. Other teams have they're own stores. The host just asked the kids if anyone wants to go home.  One of the kids named Sofia won a real gold star worth 20,000 dollars.  Everyone thought it was amazing. They finally fixed up the town and got everything running smoothly.

Letter To Mrs.DeBolt

                                                                                                                                     April 1, 2014

Dear Mrs. DeBolt,

My favorite movie is the notebook I'm absolutely in love with it. I just love how no matter what they always ended up together and he never gave up on trying to have her remember him. My favorite sport is softball I absolutely love softball. My team and I got 1st last year. Its especially fun when all your friends play with you. I also have 5 brothers and sisters and I'm the oldest.

One time I was riding my horse and she wanted to run and I couldn't run while I was on her because it was my friend's first time and if my horse ran than her horse ran. I kept holding my horse back and making sure she didn't run but that didn't last to long because she kept bucking and rearing. She was trying to get me off but it didn't work until the last time she bucked and she kicked me right off.

I love to play games on the computer and make power points. I would love to learn how to do more different and cool things on the computer. I also love to change pictures and I also love to make picture different colors and add text to them.

Video Games

Yes I think games make kids more violent because in the games they just go around and kill whoever they want, and they think that's cool and that they wont get in trouble for it. What if they just go around and kill people in the real world that's not cool that's murder and no one deserves to be murdered. A guy who was in his 20's would play videogames and they were the killing kind. He then decided to go to an elementary and kill all the kids then killed himself. When kids die or kill themselves in the game they think that they're going to come back to life, so they think the same in the real world. I think that they should at list make games where you shoot animals and not humans.
